Qatar is an independent country which shares its borders with Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.Qatar is a sovereign and self-governed state in the Middle East, occupying a peninsula that juts into the Arabian Gulf. Since its complete independence from Britain in 1971, Qatar has developed as one of the world's most significant producers of oil and gas. It is an Islamic State whose laws and traditions prusue the Islamic trad. Since 2013, the nation has been administered by HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani

Qatar is an arid country characterized by its blistering moist summers and mellow winters. Temperatures in the summer can rise to 50°C and winter temperatures can change somewhere in the range of 7°C and 24°C.

Qatar's official currency is the Qatari Riyal (QR); QR1 is equal to about NPR 30. Most major international credit cards such as Visa, Master Card and American Express are widely accepted and ATMs are promptly accessible. Bank hours are 7.30am–1.30pm, Sunday to Thursday, with some branches open throughout the day in shopping centers. Banking and foreign exchange facilities are readily available at the QatarNational Convention Centre and some major hotels.
